Catalyst
The power to create change begins when you take responsibility for yourself.
Insight
It is easy to explain away failures or frustrations by pointing to external circumstances. "If only they had done this differently…” or “If only the situation were better...” Blaming others only leaves you stuck on the wheel of recriminations. Blaming others robs you of change. Ownership of your renewal sets you free.
Taking ownership of your life is not about self-blame. It is about recognizing what you can control and using that knowledge to make empowered choices. Adjusting your perspective, focusing on solutions, and letting go of excuses are some of the first steps to renewal. When you stop waiting for others to change and start looking inward, your life transforms more quickly than you expect.
Reflection
Where in your life have you been assigning blame? What is one choice you could make today to reclaim your power?
