It’s easy to look around and see what’s missing—more money, more recognition, more progress, more more more! Gratitude interrupts this cycle by teaching us to see abundance in the present moment. When you focus on what you have, it shifts your entire perspective so that challenges feel lighter, relationships feel more valuable, and time feels more meaningful. Gratitude doesn’t mean you stop striving or lose ambition, though. It simply grounds your striving in appreciation rather than lack. By cultivating gratitude regularly, you build resilience, because even in tough times your mind knows how to find and hold onto what is good.
