‟There is no real wealth but the labor of man. Were the mountains of gold and the valleys of silver, the world would not be one grain of corn richer; not one comfort would be added to the human race.” ~ Percy Bysshe Shelley
Insight
True value in life does not come from material wealth, but from the result of effort, labor, and purpose. Human progress and fulfillment are born from creation, persistence, and meaningful work. Physical objects or riches might bring fleeting satisfaction but cannot replace the deeper gratification that comes from contributing positively to the world around you.
Whether building relationships, creating art, cultivating knowledge, or providing for others, your labor is where your true wealth lies.
Reflection
How can you focus less on material outcomes and more on the meaningful impact of your work?
