‟Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten.” ~ Stitch (Lilo & Stitch, 2002)
Insight
Family isn’t just about who you are related to by blood, it’s also about the people you choose to include in your life and hold close to your heart.
True family, however it is defined, is built on loyalty, care, and the commitment to stand by each other through both calm and storm. This kind of connection doesn’t always come easily; it takes effort, forgiveness, and sometimes a willingness to rise above conflict. But in moments when life feels overwhelming, it is family, by birth or by choice, that can give us strength and remind us that we belong.
Reflection
Who in your life makes up your “ohana,” your chosen family? How can you show them today that they are not forgotten or left behind?
