"Comedy is acting out optimism." ~ Robin Williams
Insight
Optimism often expresses itself through joy and laughter. Comedy, in its own way, is an act of hope—it finds light even in life’s struggles and invites us to see things differently. When times are tough, humor can play an important role in shifting our perspective and reminding us that life is complex but also filled with moments of levity and connection.
Laughing at life’s challenges does not mean dismissing them. It is a way of acknowledging the weight and then choosing to soften it. Optimism, like comedy, asks us to believe in something better, to hold on to joy amid uncertainty, and to find ways to share that lightheartedness with others.
Reflection
When was the last time you used humor to lighten a difficult situation? How can laughter bring optimism back into your day today?
